Animal Adoptions
At HUHA we have animals that are currently available for adoption. These animals need a good forever home with lots of love and care. If you are interested in adopting animals and want to know more contact us.
Also, read success stories for re-homed animals.
If you are unable to adopt an animal but would still love to be involved in helping an animal, why not Sopnsor one of the Sanctuarys permanent residents.

geese glorious geese |
geese glorious geese
Species: Geese We have been asked to find homes for a gaggle of 150 geese that are grazing the hills of wellington. Geese are beautiful birds and as an added benefit they graze almost as well as sheep but without the hassle of having to shear twice a year!! One thing to consider is, are you able to collect their eggs? As you drive around the country side it is not unusual to see extremely large gaggles of geese grazing. Keeping their numbers from increasing is hugely important, too many geese can't only be a burden on your land but also you may find they can be very protective of their eggs and young. Taking their eggs early will keep down the numbers and keep their personalities in check!! IF you would like to adopt some geese Things to consider Do you have adequate acreage to keep geese? Do you have adequate shelter for geese? Are you happy to have your grassing eaten by geese? Are you able to collect eggs from their nest each season? These geese are not intended to be eaten!! These pets are free to very good homes and we can arrange transport throughout New Zealand. |
